Hello Gina, first of all I would like to congratulate you for your involvement in African roots, cultures and legacies. It’s been a year I discovered your website and I really appreciate it! I wanted to share a poem I wrote something like 1 or 2 years ago about the African woman, since I’m a Cameroonian girl living in France.
-Woman from Africa, Woman in 3D,
Woman with a chocolate colour,
You don’t have to blush because of your complexion,
Similar to that “aphrodisiac” flavour,
And which ages well.
Woman with nappy hair,
You don’t have to repudiate them
Because that offers you a large choice of hairstyles,
Going from the afro to the crest, via the braids.
-Your large nose and your plump lips,
Give to your face an effect of depth,
And so, form the first dimension.
Woman with generous shapes,
Your imposing chest, and,
Your waist ornated of a waistlace,
Arouses your sensuality.
Your hips and your pelvis swing,
Such a swing, in the second dimension.
-Your marked curve blends with your hips swaying,
To offer you a way to sway your hips an unequaled way,
And to form the third dimension.
Woman from Africa, all these characteristics make your beauty.
Woman from Africa, chocolated woman,
You just have to say that, “Black is Beautiful”
And now, take a fresh look at yourself!
Here we go! Keep up the good work!—–>Emelka
