African Ancestry is an established genetic genealogy company, headquartered in Washington, DC. Started in 2002, co-founders, Gina Paige and Dr. Rick Kittles, have created a vehicle to enable people of African descent to trace their ancestry back to their present-day African country of origin by analyzing their DNA.

The work of Ms. Paige and Dr. Kittles has been featured on several television programs such as Good Morning America, PBS' African American Lives, VH1 Soul, and TV One, as well as a myriad of print publications including USA Today, Black Enterprise, Essence and The New York Times.

Additionally, African Ancestry has traced the DNA of many notable African Americans including Oprah Winfrey, Spike Lee, Isaiah Washington, Forrest Whitaker, Kimberly Elise and many more.
