October 30th African Ancestry will be revealing the ancestry of the members of Metropolitan Church of Chicago. Join the 10:30 a.m. service to find out where they are from! There will be a reception and presentation on ancestry tracing immediately following the service. Chicago, IL

Join African Ancestry for The Africa Channel Night "Fela!". This explosive and entertaining musical about Nigerian musician and activist Fela Kuti will leave you dancing and partying all night long. After the show, members of the cast will find out their African roots!

The We Are Africa Road Tour travels to Panafest in the Washington, DC area. Join us in Downtown Silver Spring for an afternoon of "edu-taining" activities including Ancestry Reveals, an African Ancestry Family Reunion, an African Ancestry Presentation, and excerpts from "RE:Definition" by Glenn Gordon.

Gina Paige will be the guest speaker at the Food and Folklore Dinner at Eatonville Restaurant. Bringing the art of the story back to the dinner table, Eatonville Restaurant launched Food and Folklore, a monthly series intertwining storytelling and fabulous food.
